CleanCo recognises that people have wide-ranging aspirations for their community and their Country, and we seek to support these in a meaningful and respectful way. Our reconciliation activities have to date primarily been focused on engaging with Traditional Owners where our energy assets and developments are located. As we establish relationships with Traditional Owners in our host communities, we aim to build future partnerships, strategies, and activities.

CleanCo is developing our first Reflect Reconciliation Plan (RAP) which we aim to release in late 2025. The RAP expands on our existing connections with First Nations stakeholders and new relationships we are building as we grow our portfolio.

We strive to tread as lightly as possible by minimising waste and reusing materials where possible. We also look for opportunities to share surplus materials with our host communities so these materials can continue to have a life beyond CleanCo.

We strive to incorporate circularity ‘thinking’ within our business operations, from project conception through to implementation. As part of our focus on circularity, we are establishing a waste baseline across our operational sites to help inform future targets and metrics.

Our assets are situated in dramatically different landscapes, from the dry scherophyll eucalyptus forests in south east where our Swanbank and Wivenhoe sites are located, to the majestic wet tropics and World Heritage Areas of Far North, the base of our Barron Gorge and Kareeya Power Stations.

CleanCo is committed to meeting the strict environmental standards that allow us to generate renewable and lower emission energy in these areas.

In order to support the creation of new investment and jobs in regional, we encourage and support local industries and small businesses to join us as suppliers, as well as First Nations businesses. Where possible, we seek to engage with suppliers who align with our economic, environmental and social aspirations.
